Richard is the founder of Tidwell Agency, Inc. He started his career in the insurance business as a field representative for Seibels Bruce Insurance. Later he went to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. He worked there for 11 years, leaving as the Senior Vice President of Companion Life. He purchased a small agency in Batesburg-Leesville, SC, to start Tidwell Agency in 1981. He still lives in the Batesburg-Leesville community with his wife, Shelly.

I grew up in Batesburg-Leesville where our original office was located and graduated from Furman University with a BA in Accounting in 1991 and then started my insurance career. I have obtained my CPCU and CIC insurance designations and continue to put a high emphasis on furthering my education in this business. I served on the board of directors for the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association of South Carolina and was the chairperson of the education committee. I currently serve on the continuing education committee for the Department of Insurance.

I live in Lexington with my wife Robin and our 3 children and attend Mt. Horeb UMC. We also enjoy spending time at our farm in Gilbert, SC.

Cindy was raised in Batesburg-Leesville, SC. She began her career in the insurance industry in 2000. She is licensed in both Property/Casualty and Life/Accident/Health. She considers it a blessing to be able to work alongside her dad and brother daily. Cindy has 2 amazing children, 5 wonderful bonus children and 6 precious grandchildren. She is happily married to her husband and best friend, Jeff. They reside in Graniteville, SC.

Jack Holladay has been a Commercial Lines agent with the Tidwell Agency since 2004 and currently works as a Senior Account Executive. He is licensed in both Property/Casualty and Life/Accident/Health, and he holds a South Carolina Surplus Lines Broker license. Jack completed his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2012. He has earned Bachelor degrees from both Francis Marion University and the University of South Carolina and a Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina.

Jack is also a talented musician who works part time playing and directing music for a local church. He enjoys studying and teaching the Scriptures, mentoring young people, following sports and working out. Jack and his wife, Brooke, live in the Lexington area.

Frances started with Tidwell Agency in August of 2019. She is a personal lines CSR. She resides with her husband in Gilbert, SC.

I was born and raised in Columbia, SC and have been in the insurance industry since 1995. My husband and I live near Irmo and attend Union UMC. We’ve been married 48 years; have two sons and two granddaughters.

Deborah started her insurance career with the Tidwell Agency in 2006 as a customer service representative licensed in Property/Casualty with an emphasis in Commercial Lines coverage. She has earned designations as Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) and Associate in Insurance Account Management (AIAM). She loves to spend time with her four children and five grandchildren as well as traveling. So far she has managed to visit 31 states and 6 countries! Born and raised in Columbia, SC, she attended Columbia College and currently resides in Lexington, SC.

Robin started with Tidwell Agency in 2006. She is a commercial lines CSR and also assists with the life and health insurance.

Carly started with Tidwell Agency in 2022. She is a personal lines CSR. She lives with her husband and two kids in Batesburg-Leesville, SC.
